Simple Paleo Recipes

Paleo diet is another healthy and effortless way to lose weight. Besides that, the Paleo diet also has a lot of health benefits that we can take advantage of. It increases our metabolism and boost our energy; it helps us to sleep well, strengthens our immune system, have smoother skin and avoid chronic diseases such as obesity, heart problems, hypertension, cancer and high blood sugar and insulin levels.

Paleo diet is also known as the caveman diet. Cavemen are known to be physically fit and full of energy. Their diet consists of food that was hunted, caught and gathered. This includes fish, vegetables, fruits, game meat and chicken.

Cavemen’s food were always prepared fresh and never preserved with salts. They are high in fiber, antioxidants and phytochemicals.

Although Paleo diet is high in fat, these fats are monounsaturated fats rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Paleo diet is also free of grains and sugar (cavemen are not known for their farming skills during their time), this is the reason why their diet has low glycemic load (low glycemic load helps maintain blood sugar levels and control appetite).

People nowadays are into the Paleo diet because it offers many health benefits and  is simple to prepare and easy to cook.
